What is Microblading?

Microblading vs Microshading vs Ombre

Microblading is the most natural form of semi-permanent makeup which imitates fine hair. Ideal for clients who prefer the natural look, have normal to dry skin, or seeking versatility to enhance a dramatic look with makeup.

Further more, microblading provides a means to partially or fully camouflage missing eyebrow hair with the appearance of simulated hair using fine deposits of cosmetic tattoo pigments.

Hair stroke technique is done to imitate the strands of hairs following your natural hair growth direction. This procedure results in the appearance of individual eyebrow hair that lasts for approximately 12-18 months before fading away.

Microblading is ideal for those who want to define, cover gaps, fully reconstruct or fill-in over plucked and over-waxed eyebrows and damaged hair follicles. Other candidates for this technique include those with cancer and alopecia who are seeking to reclaim their brows. There are also people who just want to add a slight arch to their brow, whatever the case the results are a natural, and undetectable. It is so natural that no one can differentiate between natural brows and microblading.

Microblading is best on normal to dry skin types. Microblading on oily skin requires several touch ups, which causes more trauma to the skin. If you have oily skin, consider micro-shading or ombre which are great for all skin types.

Microshading offers the best of both worlds by recreating natural hair stroke effects of microblading with the powdered look from ombre technique. This is achieved by feathering inner brows and outer line of arch with hair strokes that mimic the effect of real hair. Then powder effects is applied to the tails with a soft tap needle. Micro-shading corrects sparse or thinning brows. The end result is a defined natural looking set of brows with makeup appearance.

If you often fill in your brows with makeup, then micro-shading could be for you. Once healed it creates definition that appears more natural then makeup. It’s also ideal for clients with oily skin type, as the pigment retention is longer with a soft tap needle used for shading. This is because it implants slightly deeper into the dermal layer of the skin.

It’s also great for covering previous old semi-permanent make up. For those with microblading, microshading can be applied for a more polished look if you find that your microblading strokes appears too naturally.

Ombre

A gradient appearance is seen at the beginning of the brow starts natural and bright then darkens through the tips of the tail giving that perfect light to dark look. Ombré technique implants pigment into the basale layer of the skin. This method applies pixilated dots to mimic powder filled brows and is minimally invasive, lasts longer and can be buildable from light to dark. The end appearance is a soft, subtle and natural look that will always give you a perfect shape and definition.

This technique differs from microblading in that we create a powdery filled brow similar to the look of makeup, as opposed to simulated hair.

Ombre tends to last slightly longer than Microblading, with an average span of 2 to 3 years.

Ombré is ideal for all skin types including clients who have oily or sensitive skin, an active lifestyle, or not much natural hair.
